Fire Guard Test provides online practice questions and timed mock exams for people preparing for the written exams the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) sets for Certificates of Fitness, such as the F-01 fire guard exam. It is independent practice material. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the FDNY or the City of New York, we are not an accredited school or training course, and our questions are not real exam questions. Please read our Disclaimer.

• Our questions are written from the study booklets the FDNY publishes free on nyc.gov. The FDNY can change its booklets, exams, fees and rules at any time and without notice, and we may not have updated our material yet. Always read the current official booklet and Notice of Exam before your exam; where they differ from anything on this site, the official material is right.
• Nothing on Fire Guard Test is legal advice, fire-safety compliance advice or instruction on how to do a fire guard or safety job. Your duties at work are set by the Fire Code, the FDNY and your employer.
• We don't guarantee that you will pass any exam or be issued, keep or renew a Certificate of Fitness.

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure. Accounts are personal: please don't share your access or resell it.

• Purchases are one-time payments in U.S. dollars. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
• Each purchase unlocks the practice material for the certificate or certificates it names (one certificate, the Fire Guard Pack or all certificates) for 12 months from the date of purchase. Buying again later starts a new 12 months.
• Our prices cover our practice material only. They do not include any fee the FDNY or the City of New York charges, such as exam, application or renewal fees, which you pay to them directly and which we can't refund.
• If we ever close the service during your access period, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects access you have already bought.

If you are not satisfied, email hello@fireguardtest.com or use the contact page within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Access for the refunded plan is removed when the refund is issued.

• Don't copy, scrape, republish or sell our exercises, explanations or software.
• Don't try to break, overload or bypass access controls on the site.
• Never send us or post real exam questions. We do not want them and will not use them; we write only original questions.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will refund any unused purchase where appropriate.

All practice items, text, designs and software on Fire Guard Test are our original work and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own personal practice.

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. We may improve, change or remove questions over time, for example when the FDNY revises a study booklet. If you think a question is wrong, please tell us and we will check it against the official booklet.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fire Guard Test is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a failed exam, exam or retake fees, lost wages, a job or work outcome, or anything that results from relying on our material instead of the official FDNY material. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
