- The Notice of Exam lists no course requirement. It notes that F-02 holders may perform F-01 duties in shelters only.

- At FDNY Headquarters, 9 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn. It is multiple-choice questions on a touch-screen computer, with a time limit. The FDNY's general Notice of Exam lists a $25 application fee.
